Basketball and Gymnasium Floors: Failures & Surface-Related Accidents
Ray E. Omholt is DSIs lead expert in the field of Basketball and Gym Floor Failure Analysis and surface-related accidents. Mr. Omholt has been awarded 48 engineering patents related to the design of sport surfaces and courts worldwide (see CV). He is a nationally recognized expert in sports floor design, installation, maintenance and related concrete sub-floor construction issues.
Mr. Omholt is also a well-trained expert in the field of Slip-Trip-and-Fall injuries, both on sport floors and pedestrian surfaces. Mr. Omholt is a member of ASTM (American Society of Testing Materials) and is on its F-13 Footwear and Traction Code-Making Committee. He is also a member of BOCA (Building Officials and Code Administration), one of the most respected and largest Building Code organizations in the United States.
